Electric Bike Replace Gasoline Vehicle Help Climate Change

Introduction:

Everybody knows that climate change is a big disaster. Many countries promote the use of the electric bike replace gasoline vehicle help Climate Change. Once everybody willingly takes up the responsibility to combat climate change, the earth stands a chance to return to normal. Let us extend our help to fight climate change.

The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is a leading body fighting against climate change.

In the Paris agreement, many countries have agreed to enforce the law to reduce carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere. Our political and business leaders have to set a budget plan to take the appropriate solutions to address the climate change crisis.

The first report about climate change was bought up by Svante Arrhenius (Father of Climate Change), the pioneering Swedish scientist in 1896, First, know that burning fossil fuel with the emission of carbon dioxide is the leading cause of Climate Change. After 124 years of 2020, the use of fossil fuel has never cut down but explosively increased by any developing countries. Why this warning never heard until many countries sign the Paris agreement to reduce the emission of carbon dioxide. Maybe most of us think that our earth is still not hot until unbearable? Everybody must act now.

We are the “Wisdom Thinking” people; We want our next generations to be safe; You are resilient to fight any change; You will pick the right solutions to help Climate Change.

Climate Change events in the early 2020:

  1. Wildfires break out in Australia burn a hundred of hectares of jungle. Million of animals lost their lives. Thousand of residence shift out of their home to a safe location. (Extreme hot weather and heatwave caused by global warming)

Positive projects do help Climate Change:

PROJECT #1 – Use of renewable sources of energy, do help Climate Change by using zero-emission to produce electricity.

China has the world’s largest producer of hydroelectricity, operates three of the world’s ten biggest hydroelectric power plants, including the world’s largest Three Gorges project. The power project was started in 1993 and completed in 2012.

Three Gorges, China – 22.5GW – Full operations in 2012.

PROJECT #2 – China workers plant trees in the desert do help Climate Change by reducing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

China workers successfully plant trees in the desert to build a high green wall to protect the city from the sand storm.

<< Underdeveloped countries stop cutting trees from the forest for its development. >>

PROJECT #3 – conservation and restoration of coastal and marine ecosystems

Mangroves forest, seagrass, or seaweeds, provide us with essential ecosystem services, such as coastal protection from storms and nursery grounds for fish. And they offer another essential service – sequestering and storing “blue” carbon from the atmosphere and oceans and hence are the solution to global climate change.

Mangrove forest helps to reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, so it helps climate change.
Mangrove forest helps to reduce carbon dioxide, do not destroy it.

<<   Underdeveloped countries have to protect mangroves forests in their coastal area.   >>

PROJECT #4 – Replace car use with bus use or share a car – car use one gallon of gasoline will increase emission 9 Kg of carbon dioxide – do help Climate Change by less use of gasoline vehicles.

If you use 50 gallons of gasoline per month for a car driving, going to work daily. In one year, you need to use 600 gallons of gasoline on the car for daily commuting to work—yearly gas emission calculated at 5.4 Mt of carbon dioxide. You have to plant six trees to consume up all your car gas emissions. One tree can consume one Mt of carbon dioxide per year.

<<  You can help Climate Change by cutting down 5.4 Mt of carbon dioxide per year if you stop car use  >>

PROJECT #5 – Use electric vehicles to replace your gasoline vehicles.

  • If your finances are high, you can consider buying an electric car. China-made electric vehicles priced at $15,000.00 to $25,000.00 depends on your preferred model.
  • If your finances are middle, you can consider buying a hybrid electric bicycle. The US-made hybrid electric bikes priced at $2,000.00 to $4,000.00
  • If your finances are budget, you can consider purchasing a pedal-assist electric bicycle. The US-made pedal-assist electric bikes priced at $7,00.00 to $2,000.00

You may ask why I should give up my gasoline vehicles for electric vehicles? In the long term, you get substantial cost savings with less purchase of gasoline and save the service and maintenance cost for your cars.

And do you know that filling gasoline into the car gas tank is bad for our health? During pumping gasoline into the gas tank, we are unintentionally breathing benzene into our lungs.

The air around the gas stations can contain higher levels of benzene than in other areas. Outdoor air contains low levels of benzene from tobacco smoke, gas stations, motor vehicle exhaust, and industrial emissions.

Benzene works by causing cells not to work correctly. For example, it can cause bone marrow not to produce enough red blood cells, which can lead to anemia. The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has determined that benzene causes cancer in humans. Long-term exposure to high levels of benzene in the air can cause leukemia, cancer of the blood-forming organs.

Many countries promote care-free days to reduce carbon emissions and educate its citizen to help climate change.

The city goes car free day to support combat climate change as well as promote a healthy lifestyle.

Conclusion:

Can I do help Climate Change? Yes, you can, and everybody can. To help Climate Change shall be everybody’s responsibility. Thanks to Swiss Scientist bought up Climate Change to us in 1896. Thanks to IPCC leads all nations to work towards zero-carbon emission for every country.

Nobody wants the major climate crisis to come in the next 30 to 50 years. If we love our earth, our nation, our city, our home, and our future generations, we shall use an electric bike replace gasoline vehicle help Climate Change.

  1. Thank you for sharing such an informative article with us. Through your article I got to know about some  amazing electric bikes. I have a bike which is manual, not electric mood. You are right about one thing for sure that by replacing gasoline vehicles with these electric bikes and cars we can reduce the emission of carbon dioxide in the air,so that’s how it will protect our climate. I appreciate you for making us understand about the impact of using gasoline vehicles on a long run.

    • Copenhagen is the world’s number one bike city. How can do to becomes bike city? They are many great things done by the non-government body. The citizen takes initiative to support the move. That is how they can now. Once their number of cyclists grows, politicians have to hear their voice using their votes in hand. My next post about Copenhagen is a bike city will post today. Hope you can support me. Thank you.

  2. There is definitely a lot that we as individuals can do to combat climate change. If each of us just changed one thing about the way we live for the better and to benefit our planet, it would make a huge difference world wide.

Many people are now waking up and doing their part in saving our planet by doing things like carpooling, driving electric vehicles, recycling and so forth and it is thanks to the media and websites like this one that changes one’s way of thinking.

Can you think of a way to speed things up? Maybe by getting big business involved?

    • Now almost all nations are facing COVID 19. Traffic coming down; Airport closed by local government has unintentionally reduced the vast amount of gas emissions to the atmosphere. COVID 19 classified as a new kind of virus by WHO. Although climate change can alter the ecosystem to create new species, we have no evidence to link COVID 19 to Climate Change. If WHO has found evidence to link COVID 19 to Climate Change, it is the best time to encourage all nations to look into air pollution more seriously. I can raise a question, but I do not have an answer. I do hope that when the environment improved better, COVID 19 can disappear as early as possible. Many people, industries, and nations are suffering now, pray to end sooner. One of the geographers has a responsibility to help to promote this awareness to her organization. Today I will release my new post – Copenhagen is a bike city. I hope you can give support to me. Thank you for your comment, and the question give to us.

  3. This is quite an informative article on one peace that is dear to me – Climate change.

As a geographer i have been exposed to many of the ugly effects of climate change and i feel we are not yet doing enough as a society to combat this menace.

I feel we should take it more seriously considering the happenings around the world.

Thanks for this great piece, I would continue to do my part and hope every else does theirs too.

    • I worked for the petrochemical industry for more than 35 years. I observed the release of Methane gas through the flare every day. Our specialist told us that Methane gas could return to earth safely, but in fact, it is not valid. Oil and gas company is the main contributor to methane gas. Our company has a downstream build plant to convert this flare gas into another product, but I was not involved in this project. Thank you for your support to assist tackle the Climate Change issue. This post is alert the people that Climate Change needs solutions. My next post is Copenhagen is a bike city, and the cyclists in Copenhagen has formed a big community. With their votes in hand, the local government has to listen to them to improve. Please support us in our next post. Thank you.

  4. Hi

You have raised an important issue, as we as individuals need to do as much as possible to reduce our own carbon footprint.  You have highlighted all the beneficially project that have occurred around the world and it does show what we as human are able to do, once we put our heads together. We need to walk more, use less electricity, holiday closer to home and to start shopping more locally with seasonal products, reduce our eating of meat and start to use environmentally friendly products.

I also believe that bike and electrical bikes are part of the solution, Do you think we all have the will and the ability to sacrifice to reduce our carbon footprint?

    Thanks

    Antonio

    • Thanks for sharing the valued information in your comment. It depends on the individual to accept the promotional campaign. Citizen in Copenhagen has demonstrated to the world, with their will power, they have converted their city into the best city they like to stay. Local government has to accommodate the citizen need to ride the bike for daily commuting to work or school. Non-government body actively promotes the use of the bike in 1997 and never stop until today. Local government has enforced the law to limit the car speed, banned motorist in the city to halt deadly accident in the town, build bike’s facilities for the cyclist. I have prepared my second post with the title, as Copenhagen is a bike city. I hope you can support our next post. I appreciated your support and comment. Cheers.

  5. Greetings!  You really offered a lot of information to consider with your post about electric bikes.  I cannot deny that we have been seeing many instance of extraordinary happenings in the world.  We can all do better to take care of the world we live in.  I see human behavior all the time that is inconsiderate of the gifts we have been given.  As simple as some people still throw their cigarette butts out of a moving car window… disgusting habit first of all..but also just reflects a mindset that does not care about their personal interaction with the gift of this world, and a shows a lack of feeling for the connection with it.  Electric bikes are really cool.. i took one for a ride and it was an amazing experience.  When you are looking for a sense of freedom..and you have no desire to get a Harley… try riding an electric bike and help do your part for the environment at the same time.  I see you have some excellent links at the bottom of the post to help guide people to making an informed choice.  Excellent!  Thank you for sharing.
